About solar roof tiles in general
The solar roof tile is an amazing recent Hungarian innovation. You don’t have to put standard tiles on your roof and than fit huge solar panels on top of them. Now you have the possibility to buy roof tiles with built-in photovoltaic solar cells. You can use them on newly-built houses or you can replace your traditional tiles with them easily. It doesn’t matter if they are planned to go well with a ghotic church, a historic monument or a Chinese pagoda – they are discrete, elegant and can be placed in any surroundings.
If you have a roof, which is not shaded by huge buildings or trees, etc., it is really worth purchasing solar roof tiles. There are some other options to produce green energy at home, but they are a lot more expensive than these tiles.

One of its greatest benefits is that you can start building your own system with only a few ones and then purchase more and more later. The tiles connect to each other wireless, the energy produced by the tiles is added up. So the system can be simply expanded. The weight of a solar roof tile is about 1/3 of a usual roof tile. You would only need four tiles to run your computer and just eight to run your refrigerator. Three to five hundred tiles is enough to satisfy the whole energy supply of a detached one-family house, including the electricity and heating systems, too.
Another great benefit of solar roof tiles is that they don’t necessarily require sunlight, they are capable of working with daylight only. So a cloudy day doesn’t cause any problems in generating electricity. Solar roof tiles don’t produce any noise, heat or radiation, and thus they are totally safe. A competent installer can install them on the roof, using standard roofing components and connect them to the electricity system of your house very quickly and simply.
With a Solar PV system that is connected to the electricity supply of a detached one-family house, you will get your money back in approximately 7 to 9 years.
